Biomarker Analysis. Biomarker levels in the colonic tissueswere analyzed. Briefly, 100 mg of colon or liver tissue samples was weighted and homogenized in a precooled phosphate buffered solution (PBS, 1:9 [w/v]). The homogenate samples were centrifuged at 10,000g for 10 min at 4 °C, and the supernatant was collected. The protein concentration of the supernatant was determined by Bicinchoninic acid detection kits (Biosharp Biotechnology Co., Ltd.,Hefei, China). The contents of interleukin (IL)-6, IL-1β, IL-10, andtumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α in the colon were assayed using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kits (Shanghai Huding Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Shanghai, China).
